Terms of Use
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Operator and scope
These Terms govern use of RipeDomains.com, operated by Ripe Domains LLC ('Ripe Domains', 'we', 'us'). Contact: Hello@RipeDomains.com or the contact form on this site. If you do not agree to the applicable site-use terms, do not use the site. Purchases require separate affirmative acceptance of the applicable purchase agreement; a footer link alone is not the purchase acceptance process.
Eligibility and permitted use
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter the relevant agreement, or act with valid authority for a legal entity. Provide accurate information. Do not use the site for fraud, impersonation, unlawful activity, security attacks, unauthorized access, infringing submissions, or harvesting personal information. We may restrict abusive or unlawful use, subject to applicable law and existing contractual obligations.
Listings and illustrative material
Listings are subject to availability and may contain errors. We may correct or withdraw a listing before a binding purchase agreement is accepted. After acceptance, changes and cancellation follow that agreement and applicable law; these Terms do not create an unrestricted right to cancel an agreed sale. Business concepts, artwork, mockups, categories, and suggested uses are illustrative. No representation of revenue, traffic, valuation, commercial success, trademark clearance, or suitability is made unless expressly stated in an accepted agreement.
How a sale becomes binding
An inquiry or offer is nonbinding and does not reserve a domain. A sale becomes binding only when the buyer and identified seller accept a written purchase agreement that identifies the domain, price, included assets, payment obligations, and delivery conditions. Payment is then due as specified in that agreement. Any checkout-specific purchase terms must be presented and accepted before a purchase is completed.
Price and included assets
Currency, taxes, transaction fees, and any payment schedule must be disclosed before agreement. The sale transfers the agreed rights in the specified domain registration, subject to registrar and registry requirements. It does not automatically transfer a business, trademark, copyright, logo, website, social account, customer list, license, or service. Additional assets require an express description and any necessary assignment or license. Third-party materials remain subject to their licenses. Registrar renewal fees and operating costs are the buyer’s responsibility after delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Payment and delivery
Payments for domain purchases must be processed through Escrow.com. Buyer-selected escrow providers and alternative escrow services are not supported. Escrow.com operates under its own terms. Delivery follows the purchase agreement and Escrow and Transfer Policy. The buyer must cooperate with lawful verification and registrar requirements. No transfer is promised before the agreed payment conditions are met. Installment purchases require separate terms.
Due diligence and responsibilities
The buyer should evaluate the domain and intended use, including potential trademark conflicts, registration requirements, domain history, and ongoing fees, before committing. Buying a domain does not itself register a trademark or establish permission to use it in every field or location. Nothing here excuses seller fraud, a breach of an express promise, or an obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Cancellation and remedies
Before an agreement is accepted, either party may decline a proposed transaction. After acceptance, cancellation, refunds, defaults, and remedies follow the purchase agreement, applicable provider terms, and mandatory law. Completed transfers are generally final subject to those rights. If the seller cannot deliver because it lacks the ability or authority to transfer the agreed domain, the buyer is entitled to return of the domain purchase price paid. There is no general 'no refunds under any circumstances' rule.
Submissions and communications
You retain rights in materials you submit. You grant us a limited permission to use those materials to evaluate and respond to your submission, operate the requested process, and keep necessary records. Do not submit confidential business secrets or materials you lack authority to share. A submission does not create a listing, agency appointment, brokerage relationship, exclusivity, or obligation to buy or market a domain. Any such relationship requires a separate agreement. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
Site intellectual property
Site branding, design, and content are protected by applicable rights belonging to us or the relevant rights holders. Browsing a listing does not grant ownership or a commercial license in its artwork. You may use the site for its intended evaluation and transaction purposes and as otherwise permitted by law.
Site availability and disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the site and illustrative information are provided 'as is' and 'as available', without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free content. These disclaimers do not override an express purchase warranty, the seller’s duty to deliver the agreed rights, or nonwaivable legal protections.
Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither we nor our personnel will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from site use. For claims arising solely from free site use and unrelated to a purchase, our aggregate liability is limited to US$100 to the extent lawful. Liability for a purchase is governed by its accepted purchase agreement, not this free-use cap. No limitation applies to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, or any liability or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
Third-party claims caused by misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable resulting costs caused by your unlawful site use, infringing submissions, or material breach of these Terms. This responsibility does not extend to claims caused by our own wrongdoing. We will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to participate in the defense; no settlement may impose nonmonetary obligations or an admission on the other party without its consent.
Disputes and applicable law
Contact Hello@RipeDomains.com to attempt an informal resolution. This does not prevent urgent relief or suspend legal filing deadlines. Applicable law and any accepted transaction-specific agreement determine the available rights, remedies, and forum for a dispute.
Updates and general provisions
We may update site-use terms prospectively by posting the revised effective date and providing additional notice where required. Changes do not retroactively change an accepted purchase agreement. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Transaction-specific agreements identify the parties and applicable purchase terms. A later business transfer remains subject to contractual obligations and applicable privacy requirements.
